The owner is sooooo nice and serves amazing and comfy food. We had their kimbap and it is both colorful and flavorful! The japchae and chicken are also amazing. The pancake (jeon) is everything I wish I can do when I make jeon. What a treasure of a restaurant!!

My husband and I visited Purple Rice Korean Food for the first time and we are already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent. The staff made us feel welcome even though it was our first time there. The food was delicious. Every dish came out fresh and full of flavor, and you could tell real care went into the preparation. Nothing felt rushed or generic. It is the kind of meal that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy it. The owner gave us purple rice dessert on the house for being first time customers. We will absolutely be back. If you are looking for a Korean food spot with great food and even better service, this is it.

Nice spot for authentic Korean food and love the concept. We tried the vegetarian sweet potato noodles, pork bilgogi, corn salad, and ube rice dessert. All was good and owner was friendly. There is are two small tables at the front of the store if you want to eat there.

Casual, ready-to-grab and eat, Korean fare. I've stopped in at various hours and almost always there's a least one of each dish selection ready to go. My favorites are the beef bulgogi (in any form) and chicken bibimbap. The dosirak (bento) tend to have a larger serving. The bibimbap a little lighter lunch. The gimbap is also excellent, much more fresh than those at H-mart. The owner's are great folks, too! Very friendly and happy to recommend a dish. There's a few tables and seats if prefering to dine in. Parking is ample.

We love this place. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly and the location is convenient. As the name states, this restaurant is “grab & go”. Don’t expect to be waited on but you can ask for recommendations from the friendly owners. They are so kind and quick to make sure you leave happy. ☺️ In fact, they remembered us from our last visit about 6 months ago; they were genuinely gracious and happy to see us. Made our day as we had just stopped in after a lengthy medical treatment. This time we ordered the spicy chicken stew, gimbap, bulgogi rice bowl, and ube rice crispy treats. Everything was delicious but my favorites - the gimbap and rice crispy treats (I could eat those over and over again). 😉 We can’t wait to return next time we’re in N Austin. Truly a gem.
